Cavendish Trust Announces Merger with Jersey Based Trust Company, Garfield-Bennett

The Isle of Man trust and corporate service provider, Cavendish Trust Company Limited, has announced a merger with the Jersey based trust company, Garfield-Bennett Trust Company Limited.

Established in 2006, Cavendish Trust has developed into one of the Isle of Man’s leading corporate and trust service providers with a varied international client base, which includes the niche areas of aviation, space, eGaming, and foundation services.

Garfield-Bennett was incorporated in Jersey in 2004 to manage the trust business of Garfield-Bennett English Solicitors.   Garfield Bennett has a significant global client portfolio with a truly diverse asset base.

Cavendish Trust Managing Director James Cunningham-Davis, commented that there was a great business ethos and synergy between the two firms, with both companies being very much service led operations and firmly committed to going the extra mile for our clients. “The combined strength of the two businesses, with offices in Douglas and St Helier, will create a highly-experienced, cross-jurisdictional trust, corporate and fund services company.”

Garfield Bennett Managing Director William Bennett, added that, “we now have in excess of 100 years of combined senior level trust and fiduciary experience upon which we can draw and we believe the merger will enable us maximise on the complementary operations and deliver outstanding levels of service, across a very broad range of trust and corporate service disciplines.”

The companies now form part of the same group and Mr Cunningham Davis confirmed that the plan was for both companies to continue trading under their current names for the immediate future.
